Today some of our 2nd year Webelos went on a rock climbing trip with Boy Scout Troop 158. What a blast! The boys learned some basic rock climbing skills including climbing, belaying, rapelling, and some good safety practices. The boys also had a pricesless glimpse into the life of a Boy Scout. Seeing the freedom that the older boys are allowed will be a big factor in their making the decision to continue on into Boy Scouting.
I want to give out a BIG thanks to Frank Steinle and the rest of Troop 158 for being such generous hosts and also to the great people at the Cool Springs Climbing Center for letting us use their fabulous facilities.
