Sept 18th Pack Meeting

Den 6 and Pack 142 Parents - this is a reminder of our Cub Scout Pack meeting, this Thursday Sept 18th, 6PM at the Tullahoma Airport. You park right in front of the Tullahoma Airport office, or in the nearby Sverdrup lot, and from the front door of the office ( without going in), turn north and go to the second hanger.

We will:

get a tour of several planes

discuss our wreath sales fundraiser

maybe get to build some model airplanes.

Meeting Coming up Sept 11th,2008

All- this is a reminder for our next cub scout meeting - thursday Sept 11th , 6:30 to 730 or 8.

Also remember the campout on Sept 13, 2 Pm thru sunday morning.

Please read all of the citizen chapter if you have not already done so.

Do citizen 1,6, and 2activities from citizen 10-13. we did 9 last week.

If you recall we asked each scout to think about doing a service to the outdoors or to a person. Be prepared to stand up and tell what/who you are going to serve. this is for citizen 8. if there is a common interest, we can do something together as a den.

Read all of the outdoorsman chapter, and be read for 5.

We will review some of the rope work we did as bears, outdoor # 10.

Get ready to lead your parent setting up your tent on sept 13 to earn outdoor #11.

Our next meeting is this week, thursday the 28th, 6:30 Pm at the First Methodist Church.

Parents, please read pages 1-22, and all of the citizen chapter. The Scouts should read the first half of citizen.

Also, copy page 74 and circle the 5 activities ( not citizen or fitness) that you would like to pursue. Put your name on the page.

We will work on citizen and have a few games.

summer 2008 Kickoff meeting

This is another try of the aug 17 entry, trying to get all the text. - Stu

All- Our scout season of meetings and activities is starting again after a short summer, and our first acitivity will be next week.

Our first meeting for returning scouts is the Ice Cream Social and kickoff meeting, next Thursday, Aug 21, 6:30 at Frazier McEwen park. The kids will rotate thru 4 games, and the parents and leaders will do business. If you have a Boy Scout in he family, please bring him to help with the games. This is for returning, already registered scouts. Please have your scout wear his uniform. We need to collect fees which are:

$35 - check made out to Pack 142

If you want the boys life magazine, this is a seperate $12 fee.

BTW - our fees are low compared to other packs, mainly due to the success of Wreath Sales)

( if by chance a new scout comes, there is a $10 registration fee in addition to the 35).
